Ms Heather
Heather Cronkhite began dancing in jazz, tap, and ballet, but fell in love with Highland dancing after moving to Colorado. She received her Member Highland certification from the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) in 1995 and is a member of ScotDance USA. Throughout the years, Heather has had multiple students qualify for the U.S. Nationals and earn the BATD Sadie Simpson Scholarships, which recognize excellence in dance theory.
In addition to teaching, Heather is an active volunteer with local and national dance organizations, as well as Scottish societies, helping further the growth of Highland Dance and Scottish culture in the United States. She has served in multiple positions on the Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers board and is a past Chieftain of the St. Andrew Society of Colorado. She currently serves on the ScotDance USA Southwest board as Regional Registrar.
